Starting this Summer (2011), SoulThirst will offer a missional leadership boot camp for college age men.
This SoulThirst Network Boot Camp seeks to identify young men with missional leadership gifts and fervor and take them to a WHOLE NEW LEVEL.
Out of all the applicants, three men will be selected to spend a month at the SoulThirst Network Boot Camp. Why only three men? The boot camp training is intense and hands-on, and each man will shadow a specific mentor. The men will also be frequently assigned challenging tasks that will be accompanied by timely, constructive feedback.
This month of missional leadership training will change the men forever.
While attending Boot Camp, the men will be engaged in these specific learning experiences:
- Weekly classroom courses that examine the Core Biblical Strategies and Attitudes that are a MUST for effective missional leaders
- Daily interaction with successful mission church planters/leaders from a variety of unique ministry contexts
- Experiencing what faith-fueling worship looks like in various missional church plant contexts
- Being assigned worship movements within the missional plant worship services, and being coached prior to and after their participation
- Attending a missional leadership conference alongside of existing missional planters/leaders
- Attending a network gathering of effective North Texas missional planters/leaders
- Learning how to plug into the most powerful online and social media resources for missional leaders
- Creating their own missional blogsite…so they can share their personal journey of mission with the world around them
- Receiving a comprehensive assessment at the end of the boot camp. The assessment process will recognize their strengths, and create a growth plan for their current weaknesses
