There are a number of men currently training with the SoulThirst Network, and new men are constantly being added to the mix. As men are developed by the SoulThirst Network, some will launch missional church plants/communities in the local Dallas-Ft. Worth metroplex, while others will ultimately move to another American city where they have been led to plant. SoulThirst doesn’t bother with any slouches, so all the men in training are extremely hard workers, and ideally gifted for a life of church planting.
Pastor Patrick Miller
Pastor Patrick Miller is the founder and lead facilitator of the SoulThirst Network. Patrick is an ordained LCMS Pastor, and has served both mega-churches and church plants. Patrick was instrumental in the restart of Water’s Edge Frisco, which over time became the first hub for the SoulThirst Network. Recently Patrick stepped aside from his Senior Pastor position at Water’s Edge in order to launch another new church plant – SoulThirst Church. While Patrick serves as the Planting Pastor of SoulThirst Church, he will continue serving the SoulThirst Network as its lead facilitator. Alongside of Bill Brimer (below), Patrick facilitates an online daily Bible study – the SoulThirst Podcast.
Pastor Mark Schaefer
Pastor Mark Schaefer was instrumental in getting the SoulThirst Network rolling, being its first solid participant. Mark currently serves as the Senior Pastor of Water’s Edge Church in Frisco, Texas, and remains a key leader/coach in the SoulThirst Network.
Mark posts a daily devotion for youth which is entitled Ablaze4Youth. He also frequently leads seminars on missional living and leadership throughout the United States.
Anthony Celia
Anthony Celia is an extremely gifted song writer and worship leader, who is training with SoulThirst on-site at Water’s Edge Frisco. At the same time, Anthony tag-teams a missional community plant in Denton, Texas. That new plant is called TheStation Denton.

Travis Hartjen
Travis Hartjen spent the last two years training with SoulThirst, and is now leading a missional church plant called Water’s Edge Allen.
Water’s Edge Allen has already grown to 100+ engaged disciples, with tons of unchurched-dechurched families connecting to WEA on a continual basis. Water’s Edge Allen is not only an outreach-focused church plant, it also serves as a training site for men associated with SoulThirst.
Mark Couser
Mark Couser starting training with SoulThirst in the Fall of 2010, and is preparing to launch a missional church plant in the DFW metroplex. Mark has been actively engaged in America missions for the last seven years, with a significant amount of time spent in inner-city contexts.

Chase Jacobs
Chase Jacobs has been training with SoulThirst since his graduation in 2010 from The University of North Texas in Denton. While at North Texas, God put an extraordinary mission zeal on Chase’s heart, and used Chase to bring a number of students into a faith relationship with the Savior. Alongside of Anthony Celia, Chase is currently leading the missional plant community called TheStation Denton.
God has BIG things in store for Chase, and we are stoked to have him in the SoulThirst Network. Follow Chase’s mission-planting adventure on his personal blog.
Bill Brimer
Bill Brimer engaged with the SoulThirst Network in May of 2011. Bill was the Head Elder at Water’s Edge Frisco, who through a variety of missional experiences was led to resign from his career and begin training as a church planter. Bill is the founder and Executive Director of SoulThirst Africa, and is also a gifted singer/songwriter who currently fronts the band SnakesAndDoves.
Bill will be Pastor Patrick’s right hand man as together they launch SoulThirst Church in the DFW Metroplex.
